Receding chin.
The treatment with the biggest effect on the profile – and one of the least requested, because many do not know the chin is the problem.

A set-back chin makes the nose look larger, the neck shorter and a double chin more pronounced. What chin augmentation with hyaluronic acid achieves
What is behind it.
What is behind it: in profile the chin should sit roughly in line with the lower lip. If it lies behind, the nose looks larger, the lips protruding, the neck short and a double chin more pronounced – even in slim people. The cause is usually bone shape; with age volume loss adds to it.
What helps: one to two millilitres of firm hyaluronic acid on the chin bone lengthen and project the chin. The profile becomes more harmonious, the neck-chin angle clearer, the 'double chin' often smaller – without removing a gram of fat. Visible immediately, durability twelve to eighteen months. For many the most effective single treatment of all.
Limits: with a strongly set-back chin (clearly more than a centimetre) or malocclusion, a chin implant or jaw surgery is the more permanent solution. Hyaluronic acid can 'preview' how the result would look.
Common combinations: chin plus jawline, chin plus lips (the chin makes lips look less protruding), chin plus lipolysis for a double chin.
Is this for me?
A treatment can make sense if …
- your chin sits behind the lower lip in profile
- nose or lips look 'too big' for the face
- a double chin bothers you despite normal weight
- you want a more harmonious profile
Rather not suitable if …
- the chin is set very far back (rather implant/surgery)
- you have an untreated malocclusion
- you are pregnant or breastfeeding
- you want a markedly stronger, 'square' chin in one session
These notes replace no examination. Whether and which treatment is an option is clarified in the consultation under § 630e BGB – sometimes the answer is: none.

Frequently asked questions.
Can you see the chin filler?
No – it lies deep on the bone and feels like bone. All you see is a more harmonious profile.
Does it help with the double chin?
Often yes, because the neck-chin angle becomes clearer. With a true fat deposit, lipolysis is added.
