Jawline contouring.
A defined jaw line comes from bone structure, tissue tension and volume. With hyaluronic acid the contour can be emphasised in suitable cases – restrained and matched to your face.

What defines the contour.
Over the years the face loses volume and tension, so the jaw line looks softer. Anatomy plays a role too – some faces naturally have a less defined contour.
With a firmer hyaluronic acid filler, structure can be added along the jaw angle and chin. Treatment is usually deep and in small amounts, often on both sides in proportion to each other.
Not every soft contour can be improved with filler: with marked skin laxity or pronounced fat tissue, other routes make more sense. We discuss openly what is realistic beforehand.

A good fit if …
- volume loss, contours or lines visible at rest
- a wish for a natural, reversible result
- healthy adults with realistic expectations
Rather not if …
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- acute infection, cold sores or inflamed skin in the area
- known intolerance to hyaluronic acid products or certain autoimmune conditions
The final assessment is made in the medical examination.
How it works.
1. Analysis. Profile, symmetry and skin tension are assessed – seated and in movement.
2. Planning. We decide where structure makes sense and how much material is realistically needed.
3. Treatment. The filler is placed in depots with a needle or blunt cannula and moulded.
4. Afterwards. Swelling is normal. No sport, sauna or swimming for 3–4 days; we assess the result after about two weeks.
What you should know.
Swelling, redness, tenderness and small bruises are common after treatment and usually settle within a few days. Less common are nodules, asymmetry or inflammation. Very rare but serious is a vascular occlusion – which is why anatomical knowledge, technique and medical emergency competence are decisive. Hyaluronic acid can be dissolved again with the enzyme hyaluronidase if needed. The treatment is not suitable with acute infections in the area, known intolerances, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding, among others. Frequently asked questions.
How much filler do I need?
For a visible contour usually 2–3 ml, spread over both sides. The exact amount follows from the analysis.
Will my face look more masculine?
Not necessarily. Technique differs with the goal: a soft, clear line is something else than an emphasised jaw angle.
Does it last longer than lip filler?
As a rule yes. In the jawline area firmer fillers often last 12–18 months.
Can it be reversed?
Yes, hyaluronic acid can be dissolved with hyaluronidase.
