Jawline.
The line of the jaw from chin to jaw angle. Can be defined with firm hyaluronic acid; with muscle pull, botulinum toxin on the platysma in addition.

Jawline in the lexicon: what makes a defined jawline, why it blurs with age, contouring with hyaluronic acid, role of chin, masseter and platysma.
A closer look.
The jawline describes the contour of the lower jaw from the chin to the jaw angle below the ear. A clear line separates face and neck; in men and women alike it is seen as a sign of youth and structure. Over the years it blurs through bone loss at the jaw angle, descending cheek fat, jowls and the pull of the platysma.
For contouring, firm hyaluronic acid is placed along the bone – at the jaw angle for the corner, at the chin for projection, in between for a straight line. Usual amounts are two to four millilitres; often built up over two sessions.
In addition, botulinum toxin in the platysma can dampen the downward pull or – if a slimmer lower face is wanted – reduce width in the masseter. Fat under the chin is more likely treated with injection lipolysis. Durability of the hyaluronic acid: nine to eighteen months.

Is jawline contouring suitable for men too?
Yes, often especially so: an angular jawline is seen as masculine and the technique is adapted accordingly.
What if a double chin bothers me?
Then injection lipolysis is the more suitable method; the two are often combined.
