Treating a double chin.
A double chin is not always about weight – predisposition and tissue tension matter too. With injection lipolysis, small stubborn fat pads can be reduced in suitable cases.

Double chin treatment in Essen with injection lipolysis: procedure, number of sessions, side effects and prices from €190 per session.
How the method works.
In injection lipolysis, an active solution is placed into the fat tissue. It destabilises the membrane of the fat cells, and the body breaks the material down over the following weeks.
It treats small, clearly defined fat pads – under the chin, for example. The method does not replace weight loss and is not intended for large areas.
The tissue needs time: the result appears gradually over several weeks, usually after two to three sessions a few weeks apart.

The final assessment is made in the medical examination.
How it works.
1. Examination. We check whether it is fat tissue and whether skin tension is sufficient – that decides suitability.
2. Treatment. The solution is placed in several small depots with fine needles.
3. Reaction. Swelling, tenderness and a feeling of tightness are usual in the first days – that is part of how it works.
4. Follow-up. After a few weeks we assess the result and decide together about a further session.
What you should know.
Swelling, redness, tenderness, itching and bruising in the treated area are usual and can last several days; a feeling of tightness or burning is part of the tissue reaction. Less common are hardening or inflammation. The treatment is not suitable during pregnancy and breastfeeding, with autoimmune disease, clotting disorders, blood-thinning medication, or disease of the liver, kidneys or pancreas, among others. Suitability is assessed medically beforehand. This information does not replace the medical consultation required by German law (§ 630e BGB).

Frequently asked questions.
How many sessions do I need?
Usually two to three, a few weeks apart, depending on the starting point and how the tissue reacts.

Noticeably in the first days. Don't schedule the treatment right before important events.
Does it work on the belly or hips too?
It suits small, clearly defined pads. It is not intended for larger areas.
