Skin booster or mesotherapy?
From the outside both treatments look the same: many small pricks spread across an area. The difference lies in the content of the syringe – and in the evidence.

Both are injected across the skin – with different substances. Skin boosters are licensed hyaluronic acid gels
Licensed gel or cocktail.
Skin boosters are standardised hyaluronic acid gels licensed as medical devices (partly with glycerol or amino acids) that bind water in the skin and stimulate fibroblasts. Dose, composition and studies are defined; the effect on hydration and elasticity is proven. Course of two to three sessions, durability six to nine months.
Mesotherapy is an umbrella term: mixtures of low-dose hyaluronic acid, vitamins, amino acids, minerals and sometimes plant extracts are injected superficially. The composition varies by practice; licences often cover single components only. The evidence is thin and inconsistent – positive effects are mostly short (weeks) and rather attributable to the hyaluronic acid share.
What is reputable: mesotherapy is not dangerous if sterile, licensed components are used – but it is less effective and less proven than skin boosters or polynucleotides. Beware of 'individual cocktails' without stated ingredients or products of unclear origin.
Decision: anyone wanting measurable, multi-month improvement in skin quality is better advised with skin boosters or polynucleotides. VIVA DERM does not offer mesotherapy as a stand-alone procedure.

This text is general information. It replaces neither a medical examination nor the consultation required before any treatment under German law (§ 630e BGB). Whether and which treatment is suitable for you can only be said after examination and consultation. No treatment results are promised.
Frequently asked questions.
Is mesotherapy the same as 'meso-Botox'?
No. 'Meso-Botox' means superficially spread low-dose botulinum toxin (Baby Botox); mesotherapy means vitamin cocktails without botulinum toxin.
What about meso for hair?
There are mesotherapy mixtures for the scalp; the evidence is weaker than for PRP and minoxidil.
