Botox for crow's feet.
The fine lines beside the eyes appear when you laugh and squint. A restrained treatment smooths them without making your smile look false.

Botox for crow's feet in Essen: treating the laughter lines beside the eyes, procedure, side effects and prices from €190.
How the line forms.
Crow's feet are created by the orbicularis oculi, the ring-shaped muscle around the eye. When you laugh it gathers the skin into a fan of fine lines.
Treatment uses very small amounts at a few points beside the eye. What matters is the distance to the lower lid and a dose that preserves your natural smile.
The skin around the eye is thin, so small bruises are somewhat more common here. The effect typically lasts 3 to 6 months.

A good fit if …
- expression lines that remain visible at rest (frown lines, forehead, crow's feet)
- healthy adults from 18 with realistic expectations
- medical reasons such as teeth grinding, heavy sweating or chronic migraine – after diagnosis
Rather not if …
- pregnancy or breastfeeding
- certain neuromuscular conditions or an infection in the treatment area
- a wish for volume or smoothing of deep static lines – hyaluronic acid is the better fit
The final assessment is made in the medical examination.
How it works.
1. Assessing the movement. We look at how strongly the muscle works and how the zones interact – that determines the dose.
2. Injection. A few points are treated with a very fine needle. It takes only a few minutes and anaesthesia is usually not needed.
3. Afterwards. Don't lie down for 3–4 hours; no sport, sauna, swimming pool or intensive facial massage on the day.
4. Review. The result is complete after about two weeks and can be fine-tuned then if needed.
What you should know.
Redness, swelling, tenderness or small bruises at the injection sites are possible, as are temporary headaches. Rarely, neighbouring muscles can be temporarily weakened – a drooping eyelid, for example – which resolves as the substance is broken down. The treatment is not suitable with certain neuromuscular conditions, infections in the treatment area, or during pregnancy and breastfeeding, among others. Botulinum toxin is a prescription medicine and is only used by a physician after examination and assessment of the indication. This information does not replace the medical consultation required by German law (§ 630e BGB).
Transparent, per GOÄ.
The more zones are combined, the lower the price per zone. All prices are non-binding guide prices and include the consultation.
Invoicing follows the German scale of fees for physicians (GOÄ), based on findings and effort. Every treatment requires a medical examination, consultation and assessment of suitability.
Frequently asked questions.
Will my smile look different?
The aim is to soften the lines while preserving your smile, which is why the dose here is deliberately restrained.
Are bruises around the eye common?
The skin is thin and well supplied with blood, so small bruises happen and settle within a few days.
Is there another way to treat crow's feet?
For fine lines at rest, skin-quality treatments such as skin boosters can make sense – often in combination.
How soon can I go out again?
Usually straight away. Avoid sport, sauna and swimming pools for 3–4 days.
