'Can I still have … before my holiday?' Yes, mostly. But sun, heat and flights change timing and aftercare. What to consider.

## Sun, heat, flight – what changes.

**Botulinum toxin is summer-proof.** It is not affected by sun. Only rule: no blazing sun, sauna or intense sport in the first hours so the substance does not spread. Treat two weeks before departure and the result is there on holiday.

**Fillers and sun:** hyaluronic acid itself is insensitive. The skin is sensitive: fresh injection sites and bruises should get no intense sun for two weeks, otherwise pigment spots may follow. Heat increases swelling in the first days. Two to three weeks before a beach holiday is a good gap.

**Microneedling, peels, PRP – better in autumn.** The skin is light-sensitive for days afterwards; sun can trigger pigment disorders. These procedures are classic autumn and winter treatments. If done in summer, they need consistent sun protection and shade.

**Hyperhidrosis before summer:** the sweat treatment of the armpits is the classic spring treatment – works after about a week and usually lasts the whole summer.

**Flights:** no problem after botulinum toxin. After fillers better wait 48 hours; cabin pressure can increase swelling. Drink water, no alcohol on the plane.

**Sun protection after every treatment:** SPF 50, hat, shade. Sunburn on freshly treated skin is the most common avoidable complication of summer.

## The essentials.

- **Botulinum toxin:** summer-proof, 2 weeks before departure
- **Fillers:** 2–3 weeks before beach holiday
- **Microneedling / peels:** better autumn/winter
- **Hyperhidrosis:** treat in spring

## Frequently asked questions.

**May I go into the sun after Botox?**

After the first hours, yes. Sun does not change the effect; sunscreen is sensible anyway.

**Does heat change how long fillers last?**

Not measurably. Avoid sauna and hot baths in the first days; after that there is no restriction.
