More and more men are booking appointments in aesthetic medicine. Their wishes differ from women's – and that changes dose, technique and goal.

## What is different.

**Different anatomy, different dose.** Men usually have stronger facial muscles and thicker skin. The same effect on frown lines or forehead usually needs a higher dose of botulinum toxin – and at the same time a flatter, broader eyebrow rather than an arched 'lift'. Ignoring that produces a feminised expression.

**Commonly requested:** frown lines (the 'stern' look), forehead lines, crow's feet, tear trough and tired eyes, jawline and chin, double chin, excessive sweating and teeth grinding. With hyaluronic acid it is almost never about volume but about contour: chin, jaw angle, transition to the neck.

**The goal is discretion.** Most men don't want to look 'done', they want to look rested. So the dose tends to be lower, treatment is done in stages and checked after two weeks. A result nobody notices is the compliment here.

**Skin and hair:** skin boosters and polynucleotides for skin quality and pores, PRP for early hair loss – topics men increasingly come with. Here too: examination first, then a plan, no promises.

**Process:** book online or by phone, consultation with examination, treatment usually possible in the same appointment, check-up after two weeks. Appointments are generally between 8:30 and 15:00 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

## The essentials.

- **Most common area:** frown lines
- **Dose:** usually higher than for women
- **Goal:** rested, not changed
- **Check-up:** after 2 weeks

This text is general information. It replaces neither a medical examination nor the consultation required before any treatment under German law (§ 630e BGB). Whether and which treatment is suitable for you can only be said after examination and consultation. No treatment results are promised.

## Frequently asked questions.

**Will people notice?**

The aim is that they don't. Dose and technique are chosen so that facial movement is preserved and the eyebrow keeps its masculine shape.

**How much downtime?**

Usually none. Small red marks or injection points disappear within hours; bruises are possible but rare.

**What does a treatment cost?**

Botulinum toxin from €190 per area, hyaluronic acid from €250 per millilitre – as guide prices; invoicing follows the GOÄ. The full list is on the prices page.

**Can I just have a consultation?**

Yes. A consultation-only appointment costs €50 and is credited against a later treatment.
