The gym bag is packed. How long the break really has to be depends on the procedure – usually shorter than many think.

## Breaks per procedure.

**Why pause at all?** Exercise raises heart rate, blood pressure and circulation. In the first hours the injected botulinum toxin may spread to neighbouring muscles, and after fillers swelling and bruising may increase. Sweat and hands on the face raise the infection risk at fresh injection sites.

**Botulinum toxin – 24 hours.** No training, no headstand, no hot yoga on the treatment day. The next day everything is allowed. Exception: if you train very intensely, give yourself 48 hours.

**Hyaluronic acid fillers – 48 hours.** Two days no sport, no pressure on the area (goggles after tear trough, helmet after chin). Avoid sauna and sunbeds for a week. Then normal training.

**Skin boosters, polynucleotides, microneedling, PRP – 24 to 48 hours.** The skin is red and open; sweat stings and can irritate. Wait two days, pool and sauna one week.

**Injection lipolysis – 3 to 5 days.** The area is swollen and tender; movement is good, intense training is not. Light walks help drainage.

**Hair PRP – 24 hours.** No sweating on the scalp, no cap, no helmet. Then unrestricted.
**In general:** drink plenty after every treatment, avoid alcohol the first evening, don't touch the injection sites.

## The essentials.

## Frequently asked questions.

**May I train in the morning on the day of my Botox treatment?**

Yes – exercise before the treatment is no problem. Only pause afterwards.

**What about yoga?**

Avoid inversions (head below heart) on the treatment day. Gentle yoga without inversions is possible from the next day.
